I have no idea what kind of animal it is. I guess it is a caterpillar. A help with identification is much appreciated.

Hello Jitti
Interesting subject and beautiful photo with very good composition and wonderful colours.

Hi Jitti,

It looks like the "remnants" of a Lepidoptera caterpillar that has been invaded by fungi and the white fussy stuff appears to be the mycelium of the fungus. I would assume it wasn't moving as I believe it is quite dead? Fungi in the process of breaking down and capitilizing on a carbon source of nutrients.

Best wishes,

What an interesting subject, JC!
The woolly looking thing is an abstraction, difficult to make out in a familiar shape.
Mike has given an interpretation. Could he be right?
All the same, a fine picture.

Hello Jitti,
A very nice capture of a caterpillar of a species of moth that may belong to the Limantriid family. It looks like the remains of its previous skins have clung on during growth to provide some effect that may deter predators. I would guess the hairs are highly irritant.
Thanks and best regards,
