Small Niltava
(Niltava macgrigoriae) 小仙鹟
Size: 14 cm
Location: Mae Wong National Park (Thailand)
Description:
Both sexes almost the same as Large Niltava except the male has a grayish belly and they are small size than Large Niltava.
Voice:
A thin, high-pitched twee-twee-ee-twee.
Habits:
Restricted to montane forest between 900 – 2500m elevation. Generally moves lower inside denser vegetation, more skulking in habit than Large Niltava. During the winter months sometimes shifts to lower elevations.
Distribution:
Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam. |
