Family: Polygonaceae
Genus: Antigonon (an-TIG-oh-non)
Species: leptopus (LEP-toh-puss)

Antigonon leptopus, or Coral Vine, is a native of Mexico. It is a fast growing, evergreen vine, climbing with tendrils that will reach 40 feet (13 meters). Leaves are dark green heart-shaped to arrowhead-shaped to 5 inches (12 cm) long.

Bloom Color: Pink, White/Near White

Culture: Antigonon leptopus need full sun to light shade with intermediate to warm temperatures. This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds

There are so many names for this flower. I believe that Coral Vine and Mexican Creeper are more common than others.

Hi jitty ! Strange bee, looks quitedifferent from the bees that we heve in France, with his big head. It is a very nice shot, with excellent details and wonderful colors. The sweet pink of the flowers is lovely. Excellent composition too, good DOF and BG. Very well done !

Again an excellent shot. I particularly like the contrasts in this picture; the warm pink of the flower with the dark green well blurred B/G - beautiful.
