Lithocarpus dealbatus is a sub-tropical evergreen tree, to 20 m tall. Leaf ovate to lanced, green shiny on upper side, almost silvery on lower side. Cones dense in a long spike.

A good photo of this interesting fruit. It reminds me of the fruit of quercos, but it is not the same.
