Fire Coral taken in the Bahamas off the coast of Bimini. Photo taken in about 45 feet of water. The hair like tentacles are the very powerful stinging nematocyst cells that cause a burning sensation when touched and give fire corals their name. Note the small red legs of a brittle starfish wrapped around the center.
