|Blue Skys...Blue Ocean|
This photo was taken on the "flats" of the Abacos. (Sorry, Bimini was the only choice that was anywhere close) We had just crossed the Gulf Stream and came up on the "bank". The day was perfect. Seldom is it so calm on the open ocean that the clouds reflect on the surface. A glorious day!!!. My last post (The Crossing) showed a different face of Mother Nature!
The term "flats" refer to a shallower depth of water. The depth will change quite rapidly from 400 fathoms (2400 ft.) to 3 fathoms (18 ft) in just a matter of a couple of miles.
The ocean is teaming with life. In the deeper waters we have seen dolphins, sharks, whales, turtles, flying fish etc. On the flats we spot dolphins turtles, sharks, sea stars and many fish.
Thank you all for letting me share this day with you

This is an unusual photo and the clouds seem to hang quite low over the water. It gives a feeling of calm, serenity and emptiness.
Well seen and TFS
This is such a plain and a beautiful shot. I like the composition, and the colors a lot, it's so calm... I made a WS, hope you like it.
