This monkey was just hanging out in Tortuguero National Park. This is a howler monkey, the average howler monkey is about 7 kilos (male), and the males growl with a a deep groan that can travel for 1.5 km (1 mile). This growl is the monkeys way to ward off predators. |

Nice subject but impact is lost due to overexposed lights that grab the eye. You could try to isolate the monkey from the background and alter the background. However it would be difficult to clone out that large stem. It's a nice momento of your visit to Costa Rica. I hope you took more than one shot. See if there is one where you could isolate the monkey a little easier.
