[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The spotted sandpiper (Actitis macularius syn. Actitis macularia) is a small shorebird, 1820 cm (7.17.9 in) long. Together with its sister species, the Common Sandpiper (A. hypoleucos) they make up the genus Actitis. They replace each other geographically; stray birds may settle down with breeders of the other species and hybridize.

Hello Pierre,
A wonderful shot of this Sandpiper in a lovely pose atop a branch that matches his colors so well. Beautiful natural colors - even the sky. A lovely horizontal composition.
Regards Sigi

I love this mid range shot, Pierre.
The frame is a work of art with that well-shaped driftwood making an artistic perch for the bird.
The blurred BG too enhances the artistic impression.

Hello Pierre,
Very nice photo of this Spotted Sandpiper in a beautiful environment with this remarkable piece of driftwood. Maybe the bird is a bit too much centered in the frame, but that's personal.

Hello Pierre,
Although it's far, but color, pattern and details are quite well. So credit goes to you for such sharp photograph. But bird is too small in the frame; although you wanted to show us its surrounding activities. IMHO, a close crop and decentralized composition would be more attractive where you could use the OOF branch/leaf (left side) of the tree and I think it would look better.
Thanks for sharing,

Salut Pierre, une image tres artistique,l'arrier plan est spectaculaire et aussi la nettete' sur le petit oiseu est excellente malgre' la distance, tres bien fait! Belle soiree' et merci,Luciano

EVen though we are two far from the bird to see all the details, the stance on that log is very attractive and natural. Enjoyed seeing it!
