Trying my hand on bird shots in Costa Rica:
This male Great-tailed Grackle (Quiscalus mexicanus, Maria mulata, Langschwanz- Grackel. Icteridae) caught my attention at the water taxi landing of Sierpe (Puntarenas) by its loud noise - and on camera by its beauty. The species is a frequent sight from the Southern United States all the way down down to the Pacific coast of Ecuador.
Technical stuff: I had to darken the background in PS.

Hi Dietrich,a very angry moment for this grackle that you caught in a perfect way,not easy a brightness like that on this dark plumage and difficult light, very well done and very interesting species from Costarica! Have a nice weekend,Luciano
