Costa Rica close up:
I am more at home with close-up shots than with photography of wildlife, birds. But to my surprise it was quite difficult to catch the nervous critters in Costa Rica, and more often than not there was not enough light. For instance I was unable to get one good shot of a great Morpho in the wild.

This White Peacock, (Anartia jatrophae, Pavo real blanco. Nymphalidae), a butterfly of the open vegetation, was quite often seen. The challenge here was to deal with the white color: The histogram and the manual aperture adjustement are helpful. .. By then you have to hope that the bugger returns :-)
