Hard to tell but this is an owl butterfly. I thought that the usual open winged shots, and the face shots were a little over played at times. I quite liked the look of this butterfly this way so I snapped a shot. I was really impressed with the sharpness of the wings in real life and was hoping to capture that in my pic. Hope you enjoy. I took this shot in macro modem, with no shopping afterwards. |

If you had not provided the explanation, I would still be trying to figure out what it is. Outstanding macro and excellent use of narrow depth of field.
