[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I photographed this cockroach in the caves of Bellamar, the light was really low, we were pretty much in the dark. I fired the flash without focusing and I was lucky.

Class: Insecta
Order: Blattodea
Family: Blattidae
Genus: Periplaneta
Species:P. americana

The American cockroach (Periplaneta americana), also colloquially known as the waterbug, but not a true waterbug since it is not aquatic, or misidentified as the palmetto bug (see Florida woods cockroach for the differences),is the largest species of common cockroach, and often considered a pest. It is also known as the ship cockroach, kakerlac, and Bombay canary.

Hello Luciano,
Despite that I do not like this type of insects (remind me of infestation in urban places where humans live....), this is a perfect photo with amazing accuracy, details and colors. Thanks for visiting my gallery!
Marius.

hallo Luciano
great sharpness and nice details
i like the red colours of this specie
thanks gr lou

Ciao Liciano,
I love this shot. It is playing so cheerfully well with the good taste of a nice composition in pleasant colours - and the inevitable disgust that most of us feel by the sight of la cucaracha. Very dynamic, lively and cheeful, and a bit nasty and rebellious, too. Thank you!
With best regards,
Peter
