[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was fortunate to capture this shot showing three different types of butterflies on the same cluster of blooms while in Nicaragua.

The largest butterfly (Top Right) is a Variegated Fritillary. The yellow butterfly (Top Left) I believe is a type of Sulphur and the one in the middle is an Elf Butterfly.

The trio didn't stay perched together for long, so I was thrilled to capture them all in the same frame. This particular day was rather hot and muggy, although the Butterflies didn't seem to mind the heat a bit.

Hello Ron,

Great capture of the 'Three Amigos'. I've seen three different species in the same 'vicinity' on more than a few occasions .... but never ever nectaring on the same flower! Great timing for such an impressive well focused composition and with beautiful light & saturated colors as well.

Regards,

Derek

Gem of a picture showcasing three different species from Nicaragua, Ron. You indeed were lucky to get a life-time shot like that.
All the three butterflies look beautiful in their own ways and all of them are in clear focus.
Very well done and thanks!

Hello Ron,
What a rich flora and faune this country has! And what a spectacl these three different buterfly-species, something so colourful we cannot see in our areas. Difficult to have them all perfectly in focus, but here it's the amazing scene which prevails.
