From my recent vacation in Panama

The Southern Lapwing (Vanellus chilensis) is a wader in the family Charadriiformes. It is a common and widespread resident throughout South America, except in densely forested regions (e.g. most of the Amazon), the higher parts of the Andes and the arid coast of a large part of western South America. This bird is particularly common in the basin of the River Plate. It has also been spreading through Central America in recent years.

It is the national bird of Uruguay, where it is called tero. Due to its bold and pugnacious nature it has become the namesake and mascot of the Uruguay national rugby union team, Los Teros. In Brazil it is widely known as quero-quero, an onomatopoetic of its commonly heard voice.

Hello Mario,

What a wonderful bird you have captured on pixel here!!! Colors are awesome and looks very natural. The nice bg showing us its environment enhances so well the bird. Excellent control of the exposition and great POV at his level. 1/2000s was a great choice in order to freeze the movement and the perfect perpendicular view just let you get a perfect dof with this large aperture (f/5.6).

The only thing maybe is that the bird looks too squeeze within the frame with not enough room in from of it.
