Paradise Tanager
Tangara chilensis

a brilliantly multicolored, medium-sized songbird whose length varies between 13.5 and 15 cm. It has a light green head, sky blue under parts with black upper body plumage. Depending on subspecies, the rump is yellow and red or all red. The beak is black and the legs are bluish-grey. On this particular individual the back is red, this is definitely one of my favorites of the tanagers, although there are some other ones that are just as breath taking.
