[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today a hummingbird from Trinidad. During one day I visited Asa Wright Center in Trinidad. This is an astonishing place. From the veranda of this center I saw many, many birds. There were lots of hummingbirds flying around and very easy to shoot.
The bird on the photo is a White-chested Emerald. This bird is one of the more common species to be found in the northern range of Trinidad, but it is not known on Tobago. The sexes are simular, being brilliant green with some bronze gloss on the back, but largely white below. It is one of the most aggressive species, resolutely defending its feeding territory. Although many people suppose that hummers do not sing, this species shows that they do, even the song is a squeaky chatter, repeated persistently from its favouritw perch.
This hummer feeds on nectar from the flowers of many trees, including the showy Mountain Immortelle whose orange blossems are such a feature of the valleys of the northern range between November and February.
Breeding occurs in the early months of the year. when it builds its small cup nest, situated usually quite near ground level.

Oh, this is even better! It seems the bird is a bit suspicions in what you are doing. It is very sharp and detailed.

I just wish you would expose your exif-info and that you wrote something about what you have done with it in your computer...

Well, one thing is obvious... we must go to Trinidad - Tobago!
