This picture was taken in the Zoo of Innsbruck.
We saw the wolf from a distance, but it was such a warm day, that this wolf decided to have a drink right in front of us.
We were very lucky.

Gray wolves are one of the most wide ranging land animals. They occupy a wide variety of habitats, from arctic tundra to forest, prairie, and arid landscapes.
Fur color of gray wolves also varies geographically, ranging from pure white in Arctic populations, to mixtures of white with gray, brown, cinammon, and black to nearly uniform black in some color phases

Unusual POV too. A very nice pose.

Nice capture, I'm surprised you managed to get so close to the wolf. I think a lower POV would have worked well here.

Very nice capture. Great crop, and nice colors. This is one of those wow shots. Exposure is spot on. Great job with this one. :)

Of die zo voor mijn deur staat te drinken. Zo scherp en kleurecht. De tekening op zijn kop en de vacht is schitterend weergegeven. De rotsparij, gras en frame maken het plaatje af. Complimenten. Groeten Bob
