It is a sheer delight to look at your butterfly pictures, Peter.
This is the fully-open-wings view of the same species you posted yesterday, I believe.
Grand POV, superb details and lovely colours.
Thanks and take care.

Salut Peter

Merci.

Hi Peter
Another wonderful butterfly shot from you, my friend!
Have you ever considered making a book about tham? I mean you probably already have have about 80-90% of the total pictures you need and looking at your notes you pretty much all it needs to be known about them, so... :)
Again another shot, from an excellent POV to show us the lovely colors and patterns of tihs charming large ringlet. And, for the even curious ones of us, another shot in the WS, with the other side of the wings...just so we wouldn't have really any nits to pick on :))
Lovely work, my friend!
Bravo and TFS

Hello Peter!
At fist I would like to say that it is a pleasure to watch you pictures with butterfly because of the rarity of presented species. Moreover, very informative notes provided by you allow to learn a lot about these species.
Now a few words about the picture (-s): I like the POV which (thanks to 2 pictures) allow to see both sides of betterfly's wings. This is really very important because allw to see all important morphologocal features of this species. It was also a great idea to show (as a link to earlier picture) the similar species - Erebia ligea.
As always bravo for names in different languages too.
The only thing which for me would be better is a DOF :)
Anyway, I like this presentation very much.
Best greetings,
Radomir

Hello Peter,
What a nice species of Alps. This Erebia euryale is so similar to the Erebia ligea, I had difficulty to find difference, thanks for the second view...
The "+++" : subject, composition, sharpness, colors, exposure, useful complementary note...
The "-" : nothing...
Congratulations my friend and TFS.

Hello Peter,
Nice composition in this diagonal pose. With untrained eyes this butterfly looks exactly the same as your previous pose. Great color contrast and off background gives depth. Congratulations to your collection of this family of butterfly.

Hi Peter.
I have been really mistaken. Thank your note.
I like extremely well detailed and illuminated image of this beauty also as well as the amazing diagonal structure of the picture, wings position of the butterfly and perfect selection of the DOF. A bit soften well detailed BG is very impressive and underlines
the naturalness of pictured scenery. TFS of this wonderful piece of nature.

Ricardo
Traditional perspective and point of view to show this specimen Peter with good sharpness and focus, due to tight DOF that offers a good OOF and the wonderful contrast of colors between the butterfly and their environment.
As always the presence of workshop of so good quality in this case as the original.
My best regards... Ricardo

Hi, Peter
Just catching up after another absence and working backward through your collection. A lovely image of euryale here, with the downy wings and iridescence preserved very well. These Erebias are very approachable, but separating them is tricky - I find myself studying the field guides quite often with this genus (we don't get much practice in the UK).

Hallo Peter,
Gruss..Sky

Hello Peter,
This is a brilliant shot of the Large Ringlet.
Very sharp details and lovely dark colours. Looks very fine in this composition. These species must be hard to identify.
