I'm just back from a 4-days ski-visit to Austria. We had wonderful snow, sometimes a bit to much..
Special feature of this short holliday was the breakfast. The hotellier placed two bird-houses at the end of the terrace, and every morning he feeds the birds about 2 kg of different seeds.
Birds are waiting for that early in the morning. So at about 8.30 they are eating, and so we are too.
I made many pictures these 4 days, and I will show you some of them next period.
This picture is just an 'overview' of one of those houses. It's surely not my best picture but it shows very well what about we were enjoying every morning.
You can find very much information about this bullfinch
(Pyrrhula pyrrhula) on the internet. Some links are:

cheerfully lively congregation of well fed male Bullfinches - I like them! Well composed image, might further profit from a bit of postwork sharpening after the usual downsize to web procedure. And with snow, exposure always is is a bit difficult to control in order to avoid overexposure.
Good to hear that you enjoyed your winter holidays in Austria! We do have plenty of snow recently - even in Vienna, but particularly in region you visited.
With thanks, and best regards,
