Le canard colvert (Anas platyrhynchos)[1] est un oiseau de l'ordre des ansériformes, de la famille des anatidés et de la sous-famille des anatinés. C'est certainement le plus connu et reconnaissable de tous les canards, du fait de l'existence de races de canards domestiques issues de cette espèce.

This is a spectacular show piece. This bird is really going out of its way to pose and display its beautiful wingspan. The colours and patterns of the feathers is very eye-catching and lovely to look at. It is almost as if it is wearing a coat. The sunlight enhances the special colours of the plumage very well. I like the back view, this way showing all the pretty feathers in all its splendour. Best regards and thanks for sharing.
