Hi Brigitte.
This summer we have various species of the crickets. They have different colouration and month ago were so small. Such species is more widespread. You have pictured it at very attractive scene on a petals of an amazing flower. I like nice combination of details and smoothness, art framing of the scene. My compliments and TFS.

First I must help you with the ID!
This is not a grasshopper, but the long antennae tell us that this is a Cricket. The dark line on the back shows that this is Conocephalus dorsalis, or Short -winged Conehead. The ovipositor is not quite developed but shows that this is a female.
Nice sharp macro of this cricket nymph well shown on the BG of the lily flower.

Salut Brigitte,c'est une photo tres differente et fabuleuse! Je parle pas de la qualite' extraordinaire (tu as nous habitue' a ca),mais c'est la compostion de la photo a faire la difference.Le magnifique lilium comme une maison pour le petit insect.Mes plus gros compliments,un travail de grande classe photographique! Mooi shot.
in het nederlands heet dit een "Gewoon spitskopje"
Scherpte, compositie, belichting en kleur zijn uitstekend
het kader schreeuwd om aandacht en dat is sonde (IMO).
ook ik ga hier regelmatig de mist mee in.

ce petit criquet paraît vraiment minuscule par rapport à la fleur mais que de grandes antennes !

Très charmante image.. cette sauterelle a bien choisi sa fleur, quel magnifique contraste! Et la pose de la petite créature est idéale aussi. Elle prend visiblement goût aux délices offerts par le lis. Image très plaisante et fine.

Yes, indeed a delight to see! We often miss the most beautiful scenes from nature because we tend to look over the "size" of them and just hunt for the bigger animals. This is really a super macro jam packed with great detail. The clarity on the hopper and the anthers of the flower is great. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
