This is a common European and West Asian longhorn. The flower is a cultivated Digitalis.

The Spotted Longhorn is a common European longhorn beetles. The length of the adult is 15-20mm, with very long horns black and yellow.
This is a large longhorn beetle with a very variable pattern of black and yellow markings, probably mimicking a wasp but totally harmless. The larvae develop in old, damp and decaying dead wood of broad-leaved trees including stumps and fallen branches, tunnelling deep into decaying heartwood.
Adults are most often seen on hawthorn or umbel flowers in June. It is widespread and common in southern Britain, particularly along hedgerows woods. It frequently comes into gardens for nectar flowers where there are trees or hedges in the area.
Females are larger than males.
Host plant: Deciduous trees (Quercus, Fagus, Carpinus, Salix, Alnus, Populus, Betula, Corylus etc.).
Distribution: Europe, Caucasus, Transcaucasia, Turkey, Syria, North Iran.

A very fine capture of this beetle.
I like the sharpness in wich you have taken it. The tiny details in the head are very well to see and even the tip of the antennas are sharp.
A fine POV and colors to makes to me that you have managed this very well.

Hi Catherine. This has a 3D effect its as it it will walk away at any momment. I have to say the deati and sharp focusing is first class. As so the bright colours. very well taken I have no more room in my favorites or i would put this in.
