This is a Comma butterfly (known as Gehakkelde Aurelia in dutch), first generation survives the winter as butterfly, hiding between fallen leaves. Their somewhat strange contours make them less likely to be labeled as prey by birds and other predators.

The name Comma butterfly originates from the white comma-like structure underneath its wings. This structure is also referred to in the Latin name: Polygonia c-album (comma album; white comma).

In derogation of the disturbance caused by the blurred leaves in the foreground, one can say that is a good macro, excellent POV and very good light. Also the depth of focus is very good. For the next time is better avoid such obstacles in the view of the butterfly. Regards, TFS, Jesús
