[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another attempt with my new macro lens. I am sure that I still have to learn to work with this lens, but it is already more often attached to my camera.
Viola canina - dog violet, is probably one of the smallest between the Viola species ( not more than 10 cm). It is a very common species, flowering in the early spring. Such small flower is not very comfortable to photograph. I found this one under a chestnut tree, surrounded by the fruits from the tree - the photo shooting was quite short and a little painful. But yeah, others are suffering more to take a good image, and the way of a wildlife photograph is not at all surrounded by concrete paths.
I could not find more informations about this species, but being so common, probably is not really needed.

I know that the sharpness is not perfect, and the focus is not on the entire flower. Actually I have to kind of images with this plant: one set with the focus on the lower petal, like this one, and another set focused on the upper petals. Sincerely, I prefer this one, because it shows the veins of the lower petal. Maybe next time I will focus on the entire plant.

Hello Oana, nice composition and colors. I recognise your troubles with the macrosfrom when i started with them their depth of field is so shallow. You used only f3.5 while maybe you wanted 8 or 11 for more sharpness, in balance of course theshutterspeed would decrease and you'd need a tripod, and then hope the wind doesn't rattle your subject too much. Have fun eperimenting, and we'll see the improvements :)

The violets are in flower here too and I love them! Your capture is so beautiful even though it lacks depth, the softness and the colours are very attractive. Very nicely composed too!

O floare interesanta. Culorile sunt superbe.
Utilizarea unui obiectiv macro iti va aduce mari satisfactii.
Subiectele aproape de sol sunt greu de abordat datorita pozitiei. Utilizarea unui trepied sau al unei perini speciale este binevenita pentru a realiza un focus perfect.
Un weekend placut si mult succes in continuare!
