This photograph has been taken during a hunt to mushrooms, in forest under the beech trees and not under the pine trees as note in Wikipedia.
I took these very low against the ground with a small tripod, also a cable for vibration to avoid.

From Wikipedia;
Amanita Muscaria, commonly known as the fly agaric, is a poisonous and psychoactive basidiomycete fungus, one of many in the genus Amanita. Native throughout the temperate and boreal regions of the Northern Hemisphere, Amanita muscaria has been unintentionally introduced to many countries in the Southern Hemisphere, generally as a symbiont with pine plantations, and is now a true cosmopolitan species. It associates with various deciduous and coniferous trees. The quintessential toadstool, it is a large white-gilled, white-spotted, usually deep red mushroom, one of the most recognizable and widely encountered in popular culture.

Thanks for viewing.

Ben het geheel met de vorige, Nederlandse, sprekers eens, maar vind vooral de helderheid in de foto schitterend. Dat levert in dit geval prachtige contrasten op.

Hello John,
A very nice portayal of The Fly Agaric in its natural habitat taken from a fine POV that shows its features with excellent sharpness and saturated colours.
Thanks and have a good weekend,

Una visión diferente de la preciosa A. muscaria.
Sin duda la luz es el elemento destacado en este trabajo ya que aprovechas
perfectamente toda la potencia de la luz y controlándola, consiguiendo así
unos efectos muy espectaculares y llamativos.
Saludos John: J. Ignasi.

Hi John,
Amanita muscaria (L.) Lam. may grow in mycorrhiza with broadleaved trees also on acid soil, so it isn't a surprise you found it under beech. Great sunny colors, although I feel the grass-blades from between the lens and the fruit-body should have been gardened, the toadstool seems a bit oversharpened and just a little bit overexposed, at least on the white parts. Nice presentation, but those things mentioned above are something to be alert of. Tfs.
Friendly regards, László
