A pair of Syrian woodpeckers (Dendrocopos syriacus) playing hide and seek around the tree trunk.
PS: initially i identified the species wrongly as being Dendrocopos major. However with this species the collar reaches the back of the neck, which is not true for the birds in the picture. |
