You know me well - I can't live without having an aquarium :-) Even on holidays. Today I searched my archives in work and founded this picture. It was taken during our holidays in Bulgaria in 2005. After visiting all beaches and interesting places around I concluded that it is time to see what kind of creatures live in beautifull Black Sea. So I searched for a while on beach and founded big, plastic bottle, cleaned it and started to search interesting animals. Few minutes later I had got mini marine aquarium with sand on bottom, few kinds of algae, barnacles, shellfishes and two species of crabs :-) It was very interesting to observe these small organisms, their behaviour, methods of movement and gaining food. It was great time, I must say. We lived in very calm part of small town of Obzor. I placed my aquarium in balcony and we could observe it during every meal and rest time. Later, when we were readying to leave I returned all small dwellers to theirs home - Black Sea :-)

On my photos you can see:

1-2 shellfishes
3-4 barnacles on shells
5-6 crabs, big one on 5 and small Hermit crab on 6

Sorry for no IDs but I'm not specialist!

Please look at my Workshop also!

Pozdrawiam serdecznie,

Hi Greg,
For shooting thru a plastic bottle, these turned out well. A nice collage of Black Sea creatures. Looks great ;)

Hola Grzegorz,
Excelente trabajo, todas las tomas muy detalladas, enhorabuena. Un cordial saludo

In this shot I would like to see it bigger, it looks most interesting but I feel I am missing a lot of details due to the size.
Again very pleased to look into your persoal mini acuariums :)
Best regards, Felipe.
PD: Did you like Granados?

No te fotki to obiecywales gdzies tak z rok temu, o ile dobrze pamietam :-) Sa naprawde swietne.

The crab 5 looks to me like Pachygrapsus marmoratus, barnacles 3-4 belong to genus Balanus. The others are difficult to identify that way :-)

Best greetings,

Hey Red Greg, you have some very green pics here for us. They display some interesting items. You were lucky they stayed fresh.
We can't keep fish from the sea in still water like this - they die off because they need the changing water coming and going out all the time.
I can see some shell fish that I recognize from home too. TFS

Hello Grzegorz,
I don't know how I could miss your fascinating collage! Your presentation is really beautiful and full of interesting life! I love life underwater as well and understand your fascination. Sounds like you have to get yourself a diving kit and an underwater camera, but perhaps you wouldn't come back to the surface again! :-)
Many thanks and best wishes, Ulla
