Beautiful image Jan. Colour and detail are amazing with them reflecting in the water.
Have you looked at cropping some off the top of the image to just on the dark line to bring them up in the top third of your image, that works quite well just to take out the light pieces above the dark line that keeps catching the eye. These fungi deserve all the attention here.

This is really beautiful. The reflection of these small fungi situated in the water is just marvelous. It almost makes for a surreal landscape. The details in the photo are pefect and the shallow DOF gave the subject the full attention. I love the color range in this photo, it has such a nice warm tone. Superb work on the low pov and exposure.

Hi Jan, How I wish I had taken this one, it is beautiful the balance of light and colour is perfect IMO.
I agrre with Kathleen though the image improves if you veiw it with the top cropped off at the bottom of the dark band near the top to get rid of the light areas also it pulls the line of fungi onto the top Third of the image which is a strong place for the subject to be rather than across the middle.

This really is a splendid macro shot but also a very aestetic view over this small colony :)
The reflection here are brilliant and the low-angled POV is exceptional!
Excellent DOF, too, as well as the sharp details and beautiful colors.
