Velká Amerika is a large lime quarry (canyon) near Mořina village, in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic (in Beroun District). It is 67-80 meters deep, with very clear water.
The place is sought after by professional divers and also popular spot for tourists on their trip to the Karlštejn Castle. |

Hello Jan,
It's a very beautiful composition, with good light, colours and sharpness.
Thanks to remember me this beautiful place I saw about ten years ago. It was a popular place for the local youth for swimming. I suppose it remains like that today. But I remember also that the way to go there was not easy! I see cars on your photo: that means that the little path became a road. Best regards,
Catherine
this is a very nice scene, I feel this photo would have benefitted from better lighting
I like you POV here, you've really composed it nicely. The exposure is good and the image is nice and sharp! I do understand what PaulGana suggested about the lighting, maybe if it was captured during the early morning hours the image would've been a little more dramatic, Well captured!
