Several information of Wikipedia encyclopedia:
Hawfinches - Coccothraustes coccothraustes – Dlask tlustozobý
Hawfinches are very elusive birds, spending much of their time in the tops of trees and disappearing when humans are still some distance away. To find them you have to learn their ticking calls, know where to look and be able to approach without alarming them. As finches go, this is a real monster, almost as big as Redwing, and with a huge bill capable of cracking cherry stones. They are basically orangey-brown in plumage with one massive white wing bar and a white tip to the tail. The bill is grey-black in summer, horn-coloured in winter and has a distinctive black surround.
Breeds in broad-leaved woodlands and parks. Winters in woodlands, particularly those with hornbeam, plum, cherry or yew.
An uncommon resident that is extremely difficult to see, due to its extremely secretive behaviour. The species favours stands of Hornbeam trees. They are generally easier to see in winter, when there are no leaves. The best sites include Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire (particularly around the chapel), Woodwell near Silverdale in Lancashire, around the Jubilee Gardens in Bewdley town centre in Worcestershire, Nagshead RSPB reserve in Gloucestershire and Holkham Park in north Norfolk.
Notoriously shy and elusive even though they are actually quite abundant in woodland areas throughout Europe. Particularly good spots include Palacowy park, Bialowieza (Poland), the Lac du Foret d'Orient (France) and the track up to Monfrague monastery (Spain). For excellent views try the bar at Kamcia (Bulgaria) where they are said to feed around the picnic tables or the Schonbrunn Palace gardens (Vienna) where they are said to be remarkably tame, although in several visits I've been unable to confirm this.
3 000-6 500 breeding pairs for Britain, chiefly in the south-east. None in Ireland.
1.1-1.5 million breeding pairs are widespread across most of Europe

Hello Milos,
A cute capture of this lovely little fellow!
Seems so vulnerable sitting on the ground...
Captured with fine naturalcolours and good details, presented in a well balanced composition!
Pablo -

It is very sharp, it seems that you gave too much sharpen to photo(so grains are visible) and the blur effect on bg easily understandable. Light on its beak and tail seems overexposed. Also a little contrast might be very nice for this photo.
needs improvement...Have a nice new year:)

Sweet little fellow. Stange to see a bird just sitting on the ground like that, as Pablo says he looks so vulnerable. The colours are lovely, you must have a lot of iron in the ground

Comme il a de belles couleurs oranges, bien net, beaucoups de détails. Amitiés Thomas

Hello Milos
What a cute birdie, it has really beautiful colors! I like very much the image, it's very sharp and well composed. The ground seems to be like that of Jaén, the land of my parents here in Spain, rather redish.
Thank you very much for the useful information also.
Best wishes

You must have been very fine in the approach of the bird, that it didn't move. Very natural picture, "prise sur le vif". Nice colours and good composition.
