Sparrow closeup

When not having other subjects, you can always train your response time with house sparrows!

These little birds are extremely hard to catch mid-air, but you always get another chance!

Here is another one - more to follow..

This is the best shot of a flying house sparrow I have ever seen!
Only regret (but you can fix it by posttreatment) is the very dark eye and face.

Hi Dan,
A great image, the shallow DOF has added good depth without too much loss of detail. Great colours, the only things missing I think are some light in the eye and some sharpening. Like you say, very hard to capture in flight so a great capture, nice work.

Hello Dan,
Though I have seen several House Sparrow shots here in TN, I have n'ver seen one in its flight. A very good attempt.Nice PoV and those wings looks nicely captured in flight, with that slight diffused look giving the flapping momentum-like feeling.
Welll Done.
TFS & Cheers

this is really great, the sparrow are so fast, terrific inflight shot.
the best things are the colorful sharp feather-structure on the back and the slight wing-movement.
well done & take care, thor.

Hi Dan, you have some wonderful shots here on TN, I will try to look at them all. This one is no exception, a great action shot of the Sparrow flying. It is good to see another POV on this bird. Great detail on the feathers with good colour throughout. Nice and sharp making a good composition with a difference.
