[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just returned from a short visit to finland,an organized phototrip to vartius intend to photograph, brown bear, capercaillie, black grouse and other birds, mammals.

the weather was sunny and temperaures in daytime were around 18 to 20 degrees, normally this would be considered as nice conditions, however as there was still about 80 cm snow in Vartius, the conditions for the bears (and us as well) were difficult to walk and only the bigger males were able to reach the feeding carcasses which were placed close to our hides, this bear showed up the 2nd night at the bearhide and moved around from 00 tp 03 hours in the morning, the light was obvious not good enough for the captures I would have wanted,I will certainly will go back in the near future with better light conditions (summer),

I took this picture out from a hide using a tripod, due to the low light conditions I had to use 1600 ISO and raise the shutter speed to 1/3 s,it gives slight movement in this capture but I think this give a kind of feeling to this capture, hope you like it too

Dear Paul,
Great capture by you of this handsome brown bear. Excellent POV with motion blurring effect, making it a super mystical shot. Cheers & regards-Dr Subhash Ranjan
