[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken on a small island (see my yesterday's TE post) off the coast of southern Finland.
It was evening time and the light was great, the atmosphere very romantic and that must have influenced this couple. While I was watching them the male lost his grip and was only left hanging by his....well.... anyhow, he seemed to have started praying (no wonder...) and was just hanging there for a long while.

This seems to be Pyrochroa serraticornis

Hi Shir,
This is indeed a most unusual pose you have captured here.The guy at bottom really does seem to be praying with his "hands" clasped together.Lovely late light making the image seem so warm and attractive and the detail is just perfect.Enjoy the rest of your weekend mate!

Creí haber visto todas las posiciones posibles de cópulas entre insectos, pero con esta me has sorprendido :)
