It was really a bad idea to build the nest on the top of the tree.
There were three chicks in the nest.

One night, there was a lot of wind and the day after I found one chick on the ground. And the parents were in trouble. Two chicks in the nest and one on the ground. To protect each of them was impossible as crows and gulls were already looking at the alone chick. How to protect two places when you are two and that you have to go and fish? They have been able to do this job during one day but, the day after, the chick was no more there, surely eaten by another bird. Some days later, the two other chicks had also disappeared.

This was not a good idea and it was a sad day.

What a sad story, Stephan. But your capture will memorialize the short life of this cute chick. Sharp details and great pose. Well done and TFS. : )
