Young crow

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French] |
This young crow is shocked, afraid and wet. Perhaps are you wondering why?
Let's go back in the past, for half an hour.
Young birds are now leaving their nests as they can fly. But some of them can only fly on very short distances. And this young crow is on the ground (fallen from the nest?) when suddenly he/she is afraid, I don't know why. To escape, he/she tries to fly but with a lot of difficulties and, unlucky, falls near a duck female with her ducklings.
The duck, afraid by this young predator, tries to drown the crow. The battle lasts about 1 minute and with a lot of courage and energy, the young bird escapes the mother and her fury. The duck goes away with her chicks, leaving the young crow shocked, afraid and wet, but alive. |

Stephan,
Poignant story of daily life in the animal world. I'm glad the little guy won his struggle. I hope he bounces back okay.
The note certainly helps, but the picture tells the story. His expression, "Does life have to be this tough!"
Well seen and captured!
Very nice photo!
Thanks,
Dave
Great shot of this young crow accompanied by a great little story. Paul :)
Hi Stephan,
He look shooked and wet, a duck with ducklings are not funny to play with.
Good details, nice colours and POV.
Well done.
