[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
The " Small biche" in other words Dorcus parallelipipedus is most common of our Lucanidés Coleopters. This insect is twilight, suited to the flight, and it can be observe June to September.. Contrary to much of Lucan ides, and in particular to Lucanus cervus, the sexual dimorphism is pronounced very little.
On this shot we can observe a small Coleoptera which is taken in a spider web. In spite of its efforts and its power it couldn’t release itself!! In little time, the spider will inject an enzyme to him which will digest its tissues and will allow him an easier ingestion.

A good and interesting capture from the midst of nature Didier, the strength of the web forming fibrils is finely demonstrated in this sharp image. TFS this indeed!

Hi Didier.
Usually you have share in-flight beetle shots. Now you have presented the final stage I suppose. Dramatic scene with breathtaking details. My kind regards and TFS.

Hi Didier,
that's an interesting shot - I have to look a little longer to recognise what we see here.
I love the drops everywhere ...
Thanks and greetings to you

Bonjour Didier,
Une fin peu glorieuse pour ce coléoptère pris au piège par une vilaine araignée..les couleurs sont très subtiles, le posting plutòt original. On ne voit pas beaucoup d'images de ta part ces derniers temps!
Meilleures salutations

Hi Didier,
special, artistic and interesting picture. TFS.
