The subject

This picture represent a flower from Taraxacum ready for the dissemination of the seeds, contained inside the fruits named "Akens".

They are undehiscent fruits, mainly transported by the wind.

This flower is also the symbol of an editor, the "Librairie Larousse", well known in France for its books and encyclopaedia. The slogan from the company is "Je sème à tous vents", which is "I disseminate in all the winds". Each aken is suppose to be representative of a part of human knowledge, disseminated by the breath of a laddie.
