Here is a Southern White Admiral which was again, from Najac in France - This is also a first for TN I think! :-)

All the french shots were taken in a single animal-filled day! I photographed 22 new species (for me) of bird, butterfly, beetle, bug, wasp, reptile and more... there were more creatures there than anywhere I've ever seen before, I just wish I could have stayed longer than one day!

I hope you like this one!

Southern White Admiral - Limenitis reducta

Family: Nymphalidae
Flight Time: June - August
Size: 46-54mm
Altitude: 0-1650m

Southern White Admiral is a fabulous butterfly and as usual, your image of it is flawless and technically very superior.
Thanks for sharing one of your new gems and looking forward to more.

Hello Joe. Majestic image in tight crop. I like the colorful detail in pin sharp focus. The closed wings are very well framed and the background is very well silenced. The image stands out really well even in the thumbnail. Well done and best regards. Jusni
