This is some sub-species of Ephippiger I think. There were lots of these large crickets chirping in the evening and I found two on a bush by the house. I opted for a more original POV and this is the result :-)

I hope you like it!

Hi Joe,

A cricket? Looks like some other world creature. Those antennae and wild eyes make him scary. Good macro with fine details.

Hi Joe,
He does not look very friendly to me. Excellent macro shot, the POV makes it indeed very interesting, composition and lighting are good and details pin sharp as usual. Very good work.

Hi Joe

Excellent shot - though I am writing this early am so I don't get nightmares!!! ;) Great POV and detail here.

Ciao Joe, amazing portrait with fantastic details, great colors and excellent sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Joe!

Indeed, it is the particular point of view that sets your picture apart from others. Moreover, the very close view gives the impression that the spectator will be eaten by that huge monster in a few seconds. The expression of the insect is impressive!

Kind regards
