|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is an atypical member of the cat family, that is unique in its speed, while lacking strong climbing abilities. The species is the only living member of the genus Acinonyx. It is the fastest land animal, reaching speeds between 112 and 120 km/h (70 and 75 mph) in short bursts covering distances up to 460 m (1,510 ft), and has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 103 km/h (64 mph) in three seconds, faster than most supercars.|

Beautiful image of a Cheetah, JM.
I like that look of confidence in the animal's eye.
Thanks for identifying the 'Bundle of Sticks' for me. I am obliged. However, I would await confirmation from another expert before revising the note on that picture.

Olá JeanMarie, bela foto belo aminal a imagem ficou boa e a composição melhor parabens pela esta bela foto.
A wonderful image of this cheetah on the move.
Not being a zooligist, I have read over the years there has been some debate on exactly where the cheetah falls within the cat family (Felidae). It has been more recently argued that it belongs to the small cat lineage (Lineage #6) similar to the cougar (Puma) in the Amercias, because is is a "purring" and not a "roaring" cat like the genus Panthera (lions, tigers, leopards etc). At one time I believe the cheetah was included in the Panthera genus before having its own genus classification and put into the Lineage #6, because it shares more of the small cat characteristics then that of large cats.
Anyway great image and I love the results from my Canon 70-200mm L f/2.8 IS lens.
wow its a superb image...thanka for ur advice for my pic..expecting in future too
