[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
The bar-headed goose measure between 71 and 76 cm for a weight of 2 to 3 kg. It is easily recognizable by its white head and white bar on the side of the neck that contrast with the black back of the neck and two black bars on the head. The rest of the plumage is gray, bill and legs are yellow. It has a wingspan averaging 150 centimeters and the female is relatively smaller than the male.

This is one of the birds flying above. It was observed over 10 km in altitude. The report of its weight to its wing area is slightly higher than other geese, which could help him steal more haut1. Studies have shown that breathing is more efficient in low oxygen conditions and is capable of reducing heat loss. The hemoglobin of the blood has a higher affinity for oxygen than other geese.

Hello Serge,
These exotics don't belong in France and don't belong in my neighbourhood, where they live too. But they are beautiful. Very nice photo of these three in the same poses. Good sharpness and beautiful natural colours.

Bonjour Serge,
