Flying Duck I
Was a long time without posting any shot...
I took this picture today and it's my first try with flying bird.
I think all of you know this one ...
I used my new lens (Canon 100-400 IS), it's a very fast and sharp one ...

Hi Laurent, this is a good first attempt with a flying bird - mine are just *awful*. It is a touch overexposed but you froze the movement beautifully with that high shutter speed and caught a brilliant pose of the bird in the air. I'd suggest a higher F number to get the bird's face within the DOF. A lovely shot with great composition. Well done :)

Joli atterrissage Laurent. L'image est relativement bonne. Le point négatif que je lui attribut c'est la surexposition. Les zones claires du canard montre une forte surexposition. Cette situation peut être corrigé par le traitement de l'image via un logiciel. Mais je préfère utiliser les options de l'appareil pour diminuer l'exposition. J'utilise l'option correction de l'exposition et j'utilise des valeurs négatives, par defaut je mets -0.3, mais dépendamment des situation des valeurs inférieurs peuvent être utilisé.

Nice capture, Laurent! Excelent timing! The bird is landing with all its flaps on! Look at that breaks, ready to use its ABS!!! Great shot! Cheers!
