Nicely composed sharp and clear shot, Valerie.
You have done well not to crop off the upper part of the image. It makes a nice blurred BG with the entire upper part of the moss covered log visible.

La chanceuse, elle a déjà des champignons !!! Votre composition est bien réussie. Techniquement et esthétiquement c'est tout bon. J'arrive pas à me rappeler leur ID...

This is such a delightful shot: well-composed, with splendid lighting, colours and dof. I love your POV, only barely above the ground to catch them in all their sizes and stages of development. The simple frame works very well too.

Valerie, as you say is very difficult to id old fungi like this ones. They also look underdeveloped due to dry weather. Maybe if I could see the gills... The place, cluster formation and colours remember me some Hypolomas I have come across, but not sure at all.
It is a very nice shot. Nice composition, DOF and colours. TFS.

Great colors and beautiful light makes this photo and excellent one. Your low POV is perfect and the DOF is very good. I might go for a slightly different aperture, so that the rock is either completely sharp or completely OOF. Anyway, the result is perfect and the composition is excellent.
nobody has said to you what king of fungus your photo shows, so I tell you about ID.
This is Gymnopus fusipes (Bulliard 1783) Gray 1821, a common specie which grows as parasite and it is able also to live as saprotroph after the died of the wood.
In old book you can find it with an abandoned old name, Collybia fusipes (Bulliard 1783) quélet 1872.
I think this is a good composition even if we can't see the gills and it makes difficult the identification if you don't know very well the specie.

I don't know the name either.
Nevertheless a wonderful capture. Good composition. Lovely colours.
It is a bit searching in the forest but most of the time you'll find something. Unfortunately often the same species.

Beautiful and so interesting.
Hi my dear friend Val, a superbly captured cluster of a mushroom family from nice POV with neat details and excellent lit. During my London visiting, i visited your country on Calais via a Dover-Calais sheep and i liked so much.
TFS and cheers,
