[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Apart from being a medicinal plant used to fight depression, Saint-John's wort (Hyperium calcinum - millepertuis in french) is famous for giving beautiful but short-lived yellow flowers. They bloom between end of june and beginning of july, and attract many kinds of insects.

Among them was this bumblebee, i shot it focusing on some part of the flower and not trying to follow the bee itself.

Bonjour Jerome,
Superbe, cette prise de vue macro en plein vol!
Je trouve que les ailes donnent un bel effet de mouvement. Bravo!
Amitiés,
Emmanuel

Hi Jerome,

I like the POV and the sharpness of this photo. I think you did great with focus, we can even see the pollen on the insect’s back. I also like its wings movements. This Bumblebee will not be depressed for sure ;-)! Your note is interesting. TFS,

Claudine

The head-on approach is a different angle on the bee and flower thing. But it works very well. Great lighting and I like the composition a lot.

A great POV of the bumble bee, Jerome.
I like the head-on approach-and-landing perspective.
Good management of the DOF.
The details on the bee seem to be actually quite sharp.
Great macro and TFS. : )

Bonsoir Jerome !
Une très belle photo, prise dans le vif de l'action ! Le timing a été parfait ! Les couleurs, les détails, la composition et le POV sont excellents, de même que ce joli fond sombre et flou qui mets l'insecte en valeur. du très beau travail !
valérie.

Superb in-flight shot! Sharpness just great (with an interesting idea about focusing)! Great use of flash too and still soft colours and plain bg you had! i'm impressed, congrats Jerome.

Hi, Jerome.
Excellent action shot. You have captured a highly thrilling moment. Picture's composition is perfect, sharpness, colours, DOF and POV are great. Well done and TFS.
Alexei.

Excellent shot, Jerome!
I guess shutter speed couldn't have possibly been too fast, since the background is not totally dark. The composition, sharpness and exposure are all very good. And you nailed the focus spot on. Congratulations,
Mark
