A praying Mantis close-up

Praying mantises are about 2/5-12 inches according to species. Their colors vary, ranging from light greens to pinks. Most mantids are pea green or brown.

This one had wings ... and use them so few pictures

This is a superb close-up (although a little eerie at the moment since I am watching "Mimic" on TV). I love the dof that allows the eyes to really come at you here. Great POV, of course, and superb finishing details

Un primer plano con muchos detalles de la cara de este "devorador insaciable", con excelente POV y encuadre, aunque el F13 limitó el foco ligeramente.
También se aprecia un leve ruido sobre la imagen, aunque no creo que sea problemas del ISO utilizado, es evidente.

A close up with many details of the face of this "devouring insatiable", with excellent POV and framing, although F13 limited the focus lightly.
A lightly noise is also appreciated on the image, although not I believe that it is problems of used ISO, it is evident.
