[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken in Monet's garden of Giverney while on my Honeymoon. I think that the bugs are a hover fly, and a honey bee. I do not know what the third small black bug is.

I am actually not positive about the bugs though and I also do not know the flower variety for sure. I'd love any insights in this regard.

[UPDATE] The Hoverfly is an Episyrphus balteatus. Thank you batu! The small bug is a "chrysomelid, one of a group of leaf-eating beetles known as flea-beetles" (Argus). Thank you both.

PP: Cloned out some glare, cropped and sharpened.

Hello Josh,
Fantastic post!
Very good macro capture - the details are excellent. Also your composition is great I like it a lot, maybe some more space on the lower part would be nicer.
I especially like the colors and contrast they create.
TFS this! Shir

A beautiful multiple capture Josh with great point of view.

I like it a lot: composition, POV, DOF, focus, colors, sharpness, lighting, background.

I like it: framing, notes.

I don't like it: nothing to grumble.

I like a lot the aesthetic sense of the presentation... thank you for sharing.
A cordial greeting from Buenos Aires... Ricardo

Hello Josh,
I hope that your honeymoon was at least as beautiful as this picture. The composition is unique and excellent. It's just the right focus and depth of field to achieve this particular atmosphere.
The hoverfly (family Syrphidae) is Episyrphus balteatus. Furthermore you show a honey bee and a small beetle which cannot be identified because details are not visible.
Best wishes, Peter

Hello Josh.

Excellent macro, very good details and colors.
Great composition.

Regards.

Hello Josh,
This is a wonderful macro with excellent colors, details, POV and composition. You were lucky to catch those two insects at the same time. Details are so sharp that it is hard to realize that you used the F4.5 aperture for this one. Well done!

Hi Josh!
Very nice, artistic presentation! I like the flower in the centre and a Syrphidae fly on the right side. Beautiful colours and great idea for interesting picture! :)
A little similar (in broader meaning ;>) picture of flower and fly I presented some months ago here, please feel free to look at it :) (just to compare, not for points :>)
Best greetings from Poland,
Radomir
