This is a picture of the Rousillon Ochre Quarries. Situated in the Luberon - one of the best parts of the Provence. You can find extraordinary landscapes in very mild climate. There are many attractions to see in this area (Roussilon, Colorado de Rustrel, Gordes, Monastery of Senanque and Silvacane, same as the famous Fontaines de Vaucluse). These ochre quarries give us great images as photographers because of superb "play of lights" and lovely colors. (This is also a famous place for painters)

Interesting composition in an unusual landscape. Good POV, lovely contrast of colors between the earth tones, trees and sky. Nice detail. TFS

This is really awesome! I love the way the trees form a frame for this feature. Great colours and details
