These geese are not rare. They spread over a large part of Europe.
Beautiful photo from a good low POV. Nice natural colours and blurred BG. Excellent sharp details and a pleasant pose. Good DOF and composition.

Hi Thorsten.
What an amazing scene. The bird stands in deep meditation. What about does it meditate on? I like DOF and tender passage from crisp sharp FG and main character to BG. Lights and colours are also very attractive. My compliments and TFS.

Hello Thorsten,
A fine sharp capture of an Egyptian Goose, a species that has begun to establish itself in parts of Europe, as result of escapes of captive birds from parks and gardens. 'Wild' ones are seen in Sweden too.
I like the POV and the lighting as well as the composition.

I have seen this bird only once in the wild, in Germany, not far away from Rastatt - they are truly gogeous birds. I think I will never forget this meeting. Coming to your picture, I must tell you how much I admire it - the pose of the goose, the warm light, the splendid composition... A true pleasure to look at. Very well done !
