A beautiful trio of the Painted Ladies and the pretty flowers. I love the three poses each showing both sides of the wings. Colors, details, setting and composition are all wonderful.

Three Painted Ladies on a buddleia, two of which are perfectly captured with superb sharpness. The composition, lighting and BG are great too.

Good shot of these Painted Lady butterflies feeding on Buddleia flowers. Here in the UK we also have large numbers of this butterfly this year. Good use of flash to bring out the details of the underwing.

Wolltest Du Deinen Nachbarn übertrumphen mit drei V. cardui :-)? Lustig dieser Zufall! Dein Bild gefällt sehr durch seine Komposition, sein Licht und seine natürliche Erscheinung. Diese Schmetterlinge waren dieses Jahr so oft wie nie anzutreffen. Wahrscheinlich werden sie nächstes Jahr wieder abwesend sein.
