It was a sunny day in october, hundreds of this beetles were crawling on the path, where I was going. It was very difficult to go, without to killing one.

Hi Heinz.
Nice ultra close up, it is great to see so much details in the face and also in the end of the leg. That mouth looks scary so close.
Congrats for this clarity, great for natural light and the speed used. I am glad you did not use flash.
You forgot a bit of black noise under the bug :D
Regards, Felipe.

Very nice head-shot Heinz with very good details. Excellent POV and well composed also. Great work! Thank You.

Hi Heinz,
It looks more like well armour tank.;-)
The POV and details are very good. Well composed and good exposure.
Well done.

Great shot, especially the claws, impressing

Hallo Heinz,
endlich kommt einer Deiner angekündigten Mistkäfer. Der ist unheimlich eindrucksvoll von dieser Position aus. Auge in Auge, hast Du Dich auf den Boden gelegt? Genial gelungen.
Vielen Dank. Ich wünsche Dir einen guten Wochenstart, tschüssi

Hello Heinz, very nice close-up. The composition is very good and it has good details. Balck and very shiny is always pretty hard to do, I think you did a pretty good job. Well done.

Beautiful macro! The details are reaaly good!
Congratulation Tom

The creature looks dangerous but the picture is excellent! So many details so clear and sharp!

A great super-macro Heinz. You've done really well, considering the light you had and all the reflective surfaces on the beetle.shots like this are hard to get right.
We have plagues of these scarab beetles here in NZ.
They are called Grass-Grubs here and can devastate pasture in great numbers.

HI Heinz,
I love the details of the knight
Nice macro work.
He looks quite scary, I'm glad you had to use a macro and not a wide angle lens ;)

:)

Wonderful macro, perfect point of focus. A wider DOF would have been nice but it's OK. Interesting note!

Very nice close up,good lighting, colour and texture...
Well done...

Heinz,
I saw this one in your intro page and I liked it
immediately.
It is a strong composition even partially out of focus. This isn't a bad thing here.
Well done
